Multisensory experience cannot be replaced by digital technologies

We – the Zimmer Group – are a founding member of Motek, so to speak! We have been an exhibitor with a stand at the fair every year since its inception. Thus, we were already able to celebrate several company anniversaries at the Motek. We would also have celebrated our fortieth anniversary this year with a big stand party at Motek. In addition to the many product innovations such as the PowerStop damper, the first clamping element for profile rails (LKH), which the Zimmer Group was able to present as a world first at Motek in the past, I personally remember the presentation of the world’s first MRK gripper as a highlight. This innovation was awarded the handling award 2015 while still at the trade show.

We are glad that Motek can now take place at least virtually. This allows Zimmer Group to get in touch with potential customers in a relatively uncomplicated way with a virtual trade fair stand. The virtual trade fair platform is clearly structured for visitors and we as exhibitors can quickly and easily provide the customer with all important information such as photos, product descriptions, videos etc. here.

We have extensively expanded and significantly optimized the PowerStop family of industrial shock absorbers, which is already well-known on the market for its high energy absorption in the smallest of installation spaces, under the name PowerStop 2.0. The new family is available immediately in four series. Thanks in particular to the new modular system, the dampers can be optimally combined for the respective application, from the stroke variant to the speed range, from the different protection designs to the head. Thus, an ideal price-performance ratio with shortest availability can be achieved with the individualized standard product.

Yes, we will be showing more innovations from almost all of our six technology areas (handling technology, damping technology, linear, machine and system technology) such as the new sizes of the renowned 5000IL gripper series, portfolio expansions of the GEP2000 gripper series and our zero point clamping system in the virtual showroom at Motek in the coming weeks.

Of course, we will be exhibitors at Motek again in 2021! We are particularly looking forward to being able to present our products live again, because when people need to be emotionalized, a live event is unrivaled. Pleasant conversations, cultivating long-standing customer relationships, and the hustle and bustle of on-site activities can’t be simulated nearly as well virtually. It is also important for us that our customers can touch and try out the products, because here, too, multisensory experience cannot be replaced by digital technologies. Thus, we are simply looking forward to everything that makes up a real trade fair….

Postponed is not canceled. We will certainly commemorate our 40th anniversary in an appropriate setting at Motek 2021.
