The industry relies on presence!
Full of expectation the industry looks to the presence fair Motek/Bondexpo from 05. until 08 October 2021 in Stuttgart. The trade fair duo of Motek – international trade fair for production and assembly automation – and Bondexpo – international trade fair for adhesive bonding technology – is longed for by exhibitors and trade visitors alike in order to resume the usual personal exchange and concrete solution discourse.
“We as trade fair organizers are prepared,” explains Bettina Schall, Managing Director of P. E. SCHALL GmbH & Co. KG. “The world of production and assembly automation will gather for Motek/Bondexpo next October to resume face-to-face professional exchanges.” The exhibitors finally want to get going again: “Rebooking rates are rising steadily,” informs project manager Mike Döring. “Everyone wants to be back at attendance fairs and secure their spot.” Michael Blaß, Managing Director of e-chain systems at igus GmbH, emphasizes the importance of the presence trade fairs for the Cologne-based company Igus, for example: “Normally, we would have been represented at 222 trade fairs and congresses worldwide in 2020, but then there were just 26 in total. You can see from this the importance of trade fairs that take place in real life for igus. They are an important opportunity to get into conversation with the customer, especially with visitors who simply want to inform themselves spontaneously.”
Exhibitors and trade fair visitors look forward to personal exchanges
Trade show visits are characterized by technical discussions – but not exclusively. Small talk, coffee together, greetings across the hall are also part of the indispensable bond between business partners at all levels. Fortunately, the trade information could be kept up to date by various digital communication offers during the past months, among others also by the trade fair portals Motek-Virtuell as well as Bondexpo-Virtuell. “The virtual Motek was an important building block in how we can inform customers about our more than 120 motion plastics news items at a time when trade fairs cannot take place in this way,” Michael Blaß also confirms. But neither the virtual world can replace the authentic, real impression of the real product and its use, nor the personal face-to-face conversation – exhibitors and visitors alike are looking forward to this.
Maintain and optimize processes, improve technology
The Corona pandemic has also changed operational processes and the issue of automation in industrial production. For Igus, the goal here is to maintain and, in the best case, optimize operating processes. “Automation and digitization will certainly play an even more important role in this than before and can make an important contribution,” notes Michael Blaß. For Hendrik Bittenbinder, Head of Digital Business, E-Commerce and Marketing Communication at J. Schmalz GmbH, workpieces in booming industries such as logistics, food or medicine now have to be handled ergonomically, manually or automatically, more and more quickly. Machine downtimes and staff absences due to illness must be minimized, and distance rules must be observed in the area of manual handling. “Ergonomic vacuum lifters and innovative vacuum gripping systems enable safe workpiece handling in short cycle times while complying with distance rules. Digital, user-friendly product solutions in the field of automation and robotics as well as new software and apps ensure efficiency in production processes,” Hendrik Bittenbinder continues.
Motek/Bondexpo 2021: from the assembly to the software
Never before has it been so important to effectively implement “automation intelligence for production and assembly” on an industrial scale. This is why Motek, together with its complementary Bondexpo, is one of the most important trade events in the production industry for many companies in the fields of production and assembly automation as well as joining and bonding technology. In broad areas, it is now a matter of improving technology, increasing efficiency, promoting sustainability and reducing costs. The trade fair duo Motek/Bondexpo as the leading trade fair for the world of automation will present the appropriate product and service portfolio with components, assemblies, subsystems, complete systems as well as software for automated production and assembly including joining technology as a component of industrial production from 05. to 08. October 2021 in Stuttgart up to date show. The excellent business community at Motek/Bondexpo routinely and effectively advances future-oriented projects through individual exchange.
